Bio

Lucas has been carrying out his ASYMMETRICAL-MOTION project: a research project with the aim of developing and systematizing her experience in the pedagogical practice of contemporary dance.

Lucas Condro is a dancer, choreographer and teacher.

In 1999 he was invited by the teacher and choreographer David Zambrano to hold a seminar at SNDO (School for New Dance Development) where he later studied for 3 years and received the title of Dance Maker.

He then completed an improvement at the Choreographic Center of Montpellier, with teachers such as Mark Tompkins, Lisa Nelson and Mathilde Monnier.

On his return to Argentina he began working with the choreographer Diana Szeinblum and participated as interpreter of the works 34 meters, in the Center for Scenic Experimentation of the Colon Theater; South, as part of the tribute to Mauricio Kagel and Alaska. With this last work, he participated in the V International Festival of Buenos Aires and toured the United States, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain (Festival Escena Contemporánea) and Chile.

In September 2008 he premiered his show Alguien próxima in the framework of the International Festival of Buenos Aires.

In 2009 he was invited, along with Diana Szeinblum, to make an artistic residency at the PICA (Portland Institute of Contemporary Arts), from which the show “Una cosa por vez” took place in Buenos Aires and at the International Festival Danzalborde de Valparaiso, Chile.

Since 2012 and up to the present he has been carrying out his ASYMMETRICAL-MOTION project: a research project with the aim of developing and systematizing her experience in the pedagogical practice of contemporary dance.

He has taught in: Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Colombia, Sweden, France, Spain, Belgium.

In February 2016, he published with Pablo Messiez the book "Asymmetrical-Motion / Notes on pedagogy and movement". Published by the publisher: Contenta Me tienes.

In May 2017, he published "Lo singular" with the same publisher.
