In this first part of the training plan, Roberta will be introducing some of the animals characters in the story and will ask children to move different body parts.
The warm up will be followed by a fun activity that introduces Alice and the White Rabbit, and plays with the contrast of the two different speed of their movements.
Children will then become acquainted with the magical qualities of some objects in the story and experience their ability of changing their body shape in space (i.e. getting bigger or smaller) like Alice does in The Rabbit`s Hole.
Extra Material:
How many animals can you find in Alice in Wonderland`s story? Children will get to know some of them and do their actions in a playful way, either moving in their personal space, exploring various levels, either traveling across the room with locomotor movements.
