Theme of Mobility and Stability / Mooladhara chakra (centre of pelvic floor)

Aims: 

  • Redistribute strength to leg, arm, shoulder and back muscles to soften belly to make space for your growing baby. 
  • Find safe flexibility at a time when your body is full of the hormone relaxin, making all your ligaments very flexible. Overstretching during pregnancy can cause problems later in life.
  • Identify, strengthen and relax the pelvic floor muscles (dancers often need to learn to fully relax these muscles after years of training).
  • Connect to strong and mobile foundations to sense your weight actively.
