Meghan is currently a lecturer in Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Birmingham City University and contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the Department of Sport and Exercise, as well as research activity in the Research Centre for Life and Sport Sciences at BCU.
Meghan gained her PhD at Northumbria University where she largely investigated energy availability, and nutritional interventions to support exercise recovery in dancers. She has many research interests, but continues to have a special interest in energy availability and the specific requirements of dancers and female athletes more generally.
Meghan has contributed to many presentations at research conferences, including the IADMS conferences and has just pre-recorded two presentations for the 2020 iConference where she discusses plant-based diets and hydration in dance. Meghan has provided nutrition support to a variety of athletes across different levels as a registered Sport and Exercise Nutritionist.
